Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026.

These terms govern access to and use of Schoolyra. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. Purpose and acceptance

Schoolyra is a web application that helps teachers grade multiple-choice and written exams with AI assistance. By accessing the service, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the service.

2. Account and eligibility

You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity carried out from your account. The service is reserved for adults acting in an educational context.

3. Credits and access

Schoolyra works on pay-as-you-go credits: one credit grades one paper. New accounts receive a limited number of free credits; you then top up by buying credit packs. Credits are consumable, personal to your account and non-transferable — they may not be resold, shared or assigned. A credit is only debited when a paper is graded successfully; a failed grading is not charged.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use Schoolyra in compliance with applicable laws. The following are prohibited:

  • sharing, reselling or redistributing your account, credits or access;
  • any attempt to circumvent security measures, reverse-engineer or extract data without authorization;
  • using the service to process unlawful content or content infringing third-party rights;
  • any use likely to disrupt or overload the infrastructure.

5. Pricing and payment

Credit packs are priced in Moroccan dirhams (MAD) at the time of purchase. Payment is made by bank transfer. The applied price is locked into the order as soon as it is created. Credits are added to your account after the payment is received and verified.

6. Refunds

Unused credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase; credits already spent on graded papers are non-refundable. The detailed terms are set out in our refund policy, accessible from the site footer (/legal/refund).

7. Intellectual property

Schoolyra, its brand, logo, code and interface remain the exclusive property of the publisher. The license grants you no ownership rights in the software. Conversely, you retain full ownership of the content you create (exams, answer keys) and the sheets you scan.

8. User content and responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you upload and for your right to process it, including the personal data of pupils appearing on the sheets. You warrant that you have the necessary permissions and that you use the service in accordance with applicable data-protection rules.

9. Availability and "as is" provision

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". AI-assisted grading aims for high accuracy but no result is guaranteed to be 100% correct, and written-answer scoring is a suggestion. Scores must be reviewed and confirmed by the teacher before any important decision. We may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the service for maintenance or technical reasons.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Schoolyra cannot be held liable for indirect damages, nor for the consequences of a grading error or a decision made solely on the basis of the results. Our total liability is, in any event, limited to the amount you paid for the credits concerned.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access in the event of a breach of these terms, in particular account or credit sharing or fraudulent use. You may stop using the service and request deletion of your account at any time.

12. Changes to the terms

We may modify these terms for legal, technical or service-evolution reasons. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page. Your continued use after publication constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Moroccan law. Any dispute regarding their interpretation or performance falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of the Kingdom of Morocco, subject to mandatory consumer-protection provisions.
